Workday API Developer

About the role

TL;DR

Build and maintain Workday integrations using EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and REST/SOAP APIs. This fully remote U.S. role requires 6+ years of Workday integration experience, strong XSLT, Studio orchestrations, data model and tenant configuration knowledge, and familiarity with Workday security, calculated fields, and custom reports. Workday Pro Integrations certification and payroll integrations are preferred.

We are looking for a Workday API Developer to design, develop, and maintain integrations between Workday and the broader enterprise application landscape. The role focuses on hands-on integration delivery using EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday APIs, with strong attention to reliability, security, and data quality.

Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)
Position Type: Full-time, Direct W2
Salary Range: $100,000–$150,000 Annually
Experience Required: 6+ years

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of Workday integration development experience.
  • Deep expertise in EIB, Workday Studio, and Core Connectors.
  • Strong XSLT skills and experience with Workday Studio orchestrations.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Strong understanding of the Workday data model and tenant configuration.
  • Experience with Workday security model including ISU/ISSG patterns.
  • Familiarity with calculated fields and custom report design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday Pro Integrations certification.
  • Experience with PICOF, PECI, or Cloud Connect for Payroll.
  • Familiarity with Workday Extend.
  • Exposure to multi-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments.
  • Experience integrating Workday with major SaaS platforms (ServiceNow, Salesforce).
