About the role

TL;DR

Own Workday Advanced Compensation and Talent & Performance, covering design, configuration, improvement and delivery of merit, bonus, equity, performance and development processes. Translate people strategies into workflows, reports and scalable solutions, manage eligibility rules, security and business processes, and guide stakeholders. A Workday certification and hands-on configuration experience in Advanced Compensation and/or Talent & Performance are required; the role is hybrid.

What You'll Do:

We are looking for an experienced HRIS Expert to join our HRIS team in Barcelona. In this role, you will own the Compensation and Talent & Performance domains in Workday and partner with key stakeholders to translate people strategy and policies into relevant, user-friendly and scalable processes. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Own the design, configuration and continuous improvement of Workday Advanced Compensation processes, including merit, bonus, equity and compensation review cycles, in partnership with Total Reward team.
  • Own the design and continuous improvement of Workday Talent, Performance and Development processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, talent reviews, calibrations, feedback, IDPs and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Translate evolving Compensation, Talent, Development and Performance strategies into practical Workday processes, workflows, reporting and solutions, including contributing to skills-based initiatives.
  • Serve as the Workday subject matter expert for Compensation and Talent, advising stakeholders on configuration best practices, optimization opportunities, governance and scalable solutions.
  • Lead functional delivery across discovery, solution design, configuration, UAT, release readiness and deployment, working closely with Workday AMS consultants and internal IT.
  • Manage and oversee technical aspects of Workday, including eligibility rules, compensation structures, calculated fields, reports, business processes and security requirements, while assessing impacts across integrations and downstream systems.
  • Own process documentation, functional governance and knowledge content, and support COEs with communications and guidance for managers, employees and People teams.
  • Stay connected to the Workday ecosystem and proactively assess Workday releases and enhancements, while contributing to broader HRIS and Tech projects such as ERP changes, new entities and M&A.

Who You Are:

  • Demonstrated experience in HR systems, HR Operations, Compensation and/or Talent
  • You hold a Workday certification and have hands-on expertise in Workday Advanced Compensation and/or Talent & Performance.
  • You have demonstrated experience configuring Workday and delivering implementation, enhancement or optimization projects.
  • You have a good understanding of Workday integrations, reporting, security roles, business process configuration, releases and tenant management.
  • You are experienced in process mapping, process optimization and automation
  • You bring curiosity, sound judgement and adaptability: you stay informed about system innovations, avoid unnecessary complexity and are comfortable moving ambiguous topics forward.
  • You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build alignment and influence across teams without formal authority.
