About the role

TL;DR

Act as the technical SME and product representative for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as a new cloud HR solution launches for the UK and Swiss businesses in early 2027. You’ll advise on designs, translate business needs into solutions, and handle change, incidents, root-cause analysis, and integrations with connected systems. Prior Employee Central support experience and SAP Certified Application Associate certification are essential; this is a hybrid UK office role in Enabling Functions, not a client-facing or implementation post.

Reporting to the IT Product Owner for SAP SuccessFactors, this role will play a key role in supporting our new Cloud-based HR solution for our UK and Swiss Businesses as it launches in early 2027.

The technology team you’ll be joining maintains applications across the end-to-end Hire to Retire lifecycle for our Employees, Partners and Associates.

This new role will involve the following:

Design Authority

  • You’ll act as SME for the technical configurations of SuccessFactors and advise both our Business Leads and Team Members on the best approaches and designs for change.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • You’ll represent the SuccessFactors product in projects and various forums, being able to present and discuss viewpoints and help shape direction.

Product Ownership

  • You’ll be the representative of your product, engaging with the many local and global Product Owners whose products are upstream and downstream of your own, helping to design for change and address incident management too.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

The ideal candidate for this role will have already gained proven previous experience supporting or implementing SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central alongside your professional experience.

You’ll likely have held a role either implementing SuccessFactors or as a technology SME managing the SuccessFactors configurations. Please note, this role is not client-facing nor is it an implementation Role and sits in our Enabling Functions.

You’re a clear communicator who can help non-technical SME’s understand problems on a non-technical level and partner to find solutions.

You’ll bring Integrity to make sure to speak up when something isn’t quite right and help discover the right solution.

Analysis & Problem Solving

  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into solutions.

Functional Product Expertise

  • In-depth understanding of several of the following SuccessFactors Employee Central topics:

    • Employee/Employment Data Portlets

    • Position Management

    • Foundation Objects/MDF Framework

    • Business Rules, Workflows and Event Reasons

    • Role-Based Permissions (RBP)

    • Time Off

    • Global Benefits

  • Knowledge of additional SuccessFactors modules (Performance, Compensation, Succession) is also beneficial but not essential.

Support & Service Management

  • Change Management preferably with an understanding of Agile ways of working.

  • People first mindset to delivery of Incident and Problem Management.

  • Knowledge of how to use tooling such as ServiceNow ITSM and Azure DevOps.

Technical Knowledge

  • Understanding Integration approaches to other systems such as API, Secure File based Transfers, BIB replication etc.

Artificial Intelligence

  • Growing awareness of AI and how AI tools like Co-Pilot and ChatGPT can be utilized as part of your role to work most efficiently.

Essentials:

  • SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Core

  • Prior experience supporting Employee Central

Desirables:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Information Systems

  • Additional SuccessFactors certifications (Platform, Reporting, Integration Suite, Recruiting, Compensation, etc.)
