About the role

TL;DR

Lead configuration and support for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central in a post-go-live AMS environment, including objects, business rules, workflows, employee lifecycle data, L2/L3 incidents, and release testing. You’ll support integrations through CPI, Payroll, or third-party systems, build People Analytics reports, manage security and data governance, and work with HR stakeholders. The role requires 5–7 years of hands-on EC experience and includes mentoring analysts and presenting to senior leadership.

As a Senior Technology Operations Analyst (AMS EC SuccessFactors), you will play a strategic leadership role in delivering high‑performing, resilient technology solutions across EY's internal and client‑facing environments. You will lead complex development initiatives, drive technical strategies, mentor analysts, guide operational excellence, and partner with senior stakeholders to shape technology outcomes that align with business objectives.

Your key responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain Employee Central (EC) objects, business rules, workflows, and foundational structures.

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular audits, validations, and governance processes.

  • Provide L2/L3 user support, resolving EC incidents, system issues, and break/fix requests within AMS ticketing flows.

  • Manage employee lifecycle data (hires, transfers, promotions, offboarding, LOA, position changes).

  • Conduct user training, provide guidance, and support end‑users with EC processes and system navigation.

  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards using SuccessFactors reporting/People Analytics tools.

  • Collaborate with HR team members to understand business requirements and ensure EC supports HR processes effectively.

  • Perform integration support, coordinating EC data flows with other HR and business systems.

  • Maintain security and compliance, managing permissions and ensuring alignment with regulations and internal policies.

  • Test and validate system changes, enhancements, quarterly releases, and integration scenarios.

  • Create and maintain documentation, including configuration details, user guides, and process updates.

  • Develop innovative solutions improving system performance and reliability

  • Deliver high‑impact presentations to senior leadership

  • Develop communication strategies for complex initiatives

  • Contribute to long‑term technical strategy

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and operational excellence

  • Mentor and coach junior and mid‑level analysts

Skills and attributes for success

  • Deep understanding of Employee Central data models, business rules, workflows, time off, position management, and EC core HR processes.

  • Proven ability to manage AMS environments with high ticket volumes, multiple clients, and complex cross‑module impacts.

  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting HR data and troubleshooting system behavior.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills — especially with HR, HRIS, and business process owners.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5–7 years of hands‑on SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central experience (configuration + support).

  • Experience in post–go‑live AMS support, including incident management, enhancements, and governance workflows.

  • Familiarity with EC integrations via CPI, Payroll, or third‑party systems.

  • Experience with SuccessFactors People Analytics or advanced reporting tools.

  • Understanding of HR functional processes and their translation into system logic.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Exposure to additional modules such as Recruiting, Onboarding, PMGM, Compensation, Succession.

  • Experience supporting organizations of varying scales.

  • Experience participating in AMS governance, CAB reviews, and release management cycles.

  • Certification in SAP SuccessFactors EC or related modules.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.

  • Toronto/London/Ottawa/Waterloo/Vancouver/Victoria: $72,000 to $108,000
