About the role

TL;DR

Lead global SAP HCM, SuccessFactors Onboarding and Compensation engagements from discovery through go-live as an independent hourly contractor. You’ll run multi-country scoping, write estimates and SOWs, then configure core HCM, manage integrations, testing, cutover and hypercare while advising HR and IT leaders. Requires 5+ years, three full-cycle implementations, rollouts across at least two global regions, and strong SAP integration and data privacy knowledge.

Flexspring is engaging an independent Senior SAP HCM Consultant on an hourly contract basis to lead global SAP HCM, Onboarding and Compensation engagements from first scoping call through go live. You will be the client-facing expert who turns complex, multi-country HR requirements into accurate scopes, winning statements of work and clean delivery. This role extends our services practice so you will directly shape deal size, win rate and expansion revenue, not just project delivery.

What You'll Do

Scoping and pre-sales

  • Lead discovery and scoping workshops with HR, payroll and IT stakeholders across multiple countries.

  • Translate requirements into a defined scope: modules, countries, integrations, data migration, effort, timeline and staffing.

Delivery

  • Configure and optimize SAP HCM core: Organizational Management, Personnel Administration and Time.

  • Implement Onboarding (SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding or on-premise HCM processes) across regions.

  • Design and configure Compensation: merit, bonus and equity cycles, budgets, guidelines and statements.

  • Manage country-specific requirements, including data privacy (e.g., GDPR), works councils and local labor rules.

  • Lead testing, cutover, training and hypercare; keep projects on scope, on time and on budget.

Client leadership

  • Serve as the trusted advisor to client HR and IT leaders.

  • Run status reporting, risk management and scope-change conversations with confidence.

  • Deliver scoping templates and estimating models when defined as deliverables in an agreed statement of work.

What you bring

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on SAP HCM consulting, including at least 3 full-cycle implementations.

  • Proven global experience: multi-country rollouts covering at least two of North America, EMEA, APAC or LATAM.

  • Deep functional and configuration expertise in SAP HCM core, Onboarding and Compensation.

  • Demonstrated scoping experience: you have led discovery, built effort estimates and authored SOWs that held up through delivery.

  • Working knowledge of SAP integration approaches (e.g., IDocs, BAPIs, SAP Integration Suite / CPI) and HR data migration.

  • Strong grasp of global data privacy and compliance requirements for employee data.

  • Executive-level communication; comfortable presenting scope, pricing assumptions and trade-offs to clients.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

  • SAP SuccessFactors certification (Employee Central, Onboarding or Compensation).

  • Experience migrating clients from on-premise SAP HCM to SuccessFactors ahead of the 2027 end of mainstream maintenance.

  • Payroll exposure (SAP Payroll or ADP) and integrations with ATS platforms such as SmartRecruiters.

  • Consulting-firm or SAP partner background with pre-sales or practice-building responsibilities.
