Oracle HCM Functional Payroll Consultant - SC Clearance

About the role

TL;DR

You’ll deliver Oracle Payroll Cloud implementations in a customer-facing consulting role, covering requirements, solution design, configuration, testing, documentation and troubleshooting. The role requires at least five years of functional Oracle Payroll Cloud experience and two full implementation cycles, with strong knowledge of UK payroll rules including PAYE, NI, pensions, salary sacrifice, statutory absence payments and RTI. Travel to client sites is required, and the role is subject to BPSS screening, with SC or DV vetting potentially applying.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Consultant working as an integral part of a project team, you will contribute to all phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will play a customer-facing role and be involved in Requirement Analysis, Business Process Documentation & Solution Design. You will work with and support your peers to develop, configure and deploy the solution, and ensure project processes and deliverables in your area are met. In addition to project related activities, you will also contribute to proposal development, demonstrating the application to potential customers and play an important role in building our Oracle Cloud capabilities and offerings.

As an experienced consultant you will be a self-starter and have strong functional skills in the implementation of Oracle HCM/Payroll Cloud, backed up by proven hands-on experience, ideally across different industries. You will have the ability to work under pressure and must be able to communicate effectively with customer stakeholders.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • At least 5 Years of functional experience delivering Oracle Payroll Cloud Applications.

  • Involvement in at least 2 full Oracle Cloud Implementations cycles

  • Demonstrated experience in Solution Design, Requirements Analysis, Functional Design, Configuration, Documentation and Troubleshooting

  • Experience working with technical teams for Interface design, development and testing

  • Ability to multi-task and to work independently

  • Strong client facing, communication and client management skills

  • A good understanding of Application Implementation methodologies

  • Ability to travel to client sites

  • Demonstrable functional skills:

    • Has excellent knowledge of designing and configuring Oracle Payroll solutions including; payroll elements, fast formula, pension schemes & absence schemes.

    • Has excellent, up to date knowledge of UK payroll legislative requirements including; PAYE and NI, Pensions Automatic Enrolment, Salary Sacrifice, statutory absence payments and RTI.

    • Has strong client facing / consultancy experience

    • Has proven, full lifecycle implementation experience of delivering Oracle based HCM solutions to medium and large enterprise clients

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personal Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NVS) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Good domain knowledge of HCM and Payroll modules

  • Leading project implementations

  • Good knowledge and experience implementing the Oracle Time & Labor module

  • Good knowledge and experience implementing the Oracle Compensation module including Workforce Compensation, Individual Compensation and Total Compensation Statements.

  • Knowledge and some experience working with AI Agent Studio

  • Oracle Cloud Implementation Certification(s).

  • Experience in Oracle Cloud Implementations and integrating them with other on premise or cloud applications.

  • A good understanding of the broader Oracle Cloud functional areas e.g. Finance, HCM and Payroll, SCM, CX, Logistics.

  • Good knowledge of the reporting and analytical tools available as part of Oracle Cloud.

  • Some experience in pre-sales activities such as contributing to proposals, conducting Proof of Concepts & Configuring Sand-box environments for functional demonstrations.
