Workday HCM Data Consultant

As a Workday HCM Data Consultant at Kainos, you will implement and configure enterprise-scale Workday solutions for a global customer base, specializing in gathering, transforming, and loading organizational and employee data into Workday tenants. You will work closely with customers to understand their data needs, lead the delivery of data solutions that are fit for purpose and commercially viable, and collaborate with functional leads and stakeholders to keep implementations on track. You will lead the data workstream while receiving support from an Engagement Manager and Managing Consultant. As a subject matter expert, you will also contribute to the growth and development of Workday Data Consulting within the Kainos Workday practice.

Minimum (Essential) Requirements

• Strong knowledge and experience in data analysis, manipulation, reporting, and formatting.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in large datasets.

• Strong customer focus with the ability to understand customer needs, build relationships, manage expectations, and know when to challenge, escalate, or exceed expectations.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage customers and colleagues effectively in both remote and in-person environments, including presentations to senior client audiences.

• Broad understanding of business, technology, and industry trends.

• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and balance customer demands with commercial objectives.

• Ability to build and maintain a network of external contacts.

• Strong consulting skills, including leading workshops, presenting, demonstrating, and explaining complex solutions.

• Ability to become a recognized subject matter expert, such as a Workday Product Lead.

• Willingness to support the sales process, including preparing delivery estimates.

• Ability to identify and implement improvements to tools and processes.

• Understanding of utilization targets within a professional services organization.

• Flexibility to work across multiple Workday delivery services, including Consulting and Application Management Services.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites within the region, with occasional travel outside the region if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Workday HCM or Financials certification.

• Understanding of data formatting requirements across different countries and jurisdictions to support global customers.
