Workday Compensation Manager
NCL
About the role
Lead the final testing and go-live push for a Workday Compensation reimplementation covering complex, union-based shipboard pay. You’ll validate rates, allowances, bonuses, and collective bargaining rules, test the Workday and MAPS crew-management integration, and drive the systems integrator to fix defects. This contract role also partners with HR and Compensation teams and may manage contractors and 1–2 direct reports.
The role used to manager both shipboard and shore-based employees and they gave the shore based responsibilities to one person and now they are hiring someone to just manage the shipboard compensation.

Identify issues, drive timely resolution with the SI, and support go-live readiness.

Provide hands-on leadership while managing contractors and potentially 1–2 direct reports.
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced Workday Compensation Manager with implementation experience in a complex environment.
Strong understanding of unionized compensation structures and collective bargaining agreements.
Experience with shipboard, maritime, or similarly complex workforce compensation is highly desirable.
Background in HR, HRIS, or HR Technology, with experience partnering closely with Compensation teams.
Proven integration testing, configuration validation, and systems integrator management experience.
U.S. union experience preferred
Payroll experience with other countries is also a big plus.
