The Senior Workday HRIS Analyst will serve as a key Workday SME with a strong focus on Benefits configuration, FSA and Annual Enrollment deployment, complex reporting, and security administration. This role is responsible for end-to-end configuration, ongoing operational support, and continuous optimization of Workday HCM and Benefits to ensure scalable, compliant, and user-focused solutions.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $125,000 - $150,000K per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and support the Workday platform, with a primary focus on Benefits, FSA administration, Annual Enrollment, core HCM, Reporting, and Security.

  • Lead Benefits configuration and ongoing administration, including health, welfare, and voluntary plans, eligibility rules, event-driven processes, FSA/HSA integrations, testing, and issue resolution.

  • Annual Enrollment (AE) and Open Enrollment cycles, including end-to-end planning, configuration, testing, validation, deployment, cutover, and post-go-live support; ensure accurate plan setup, cost calculations, employee experience, and vendor file outputs.

  • Configure and implement business process framework (BPF) changes, eligibility rules, condition rules, and validation logic to support optimized, compliant, and scalable HR and Benefits processes.

  • Provide day-to-day Workday system support, troubleshooting complex data, Benefits, security, and reporting issues; identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions within governance standards.

  • Design, build, and maintain complex Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics, including advanced, matrix, composite, and calculated field-based reporting to support Benefits operations, compliance, finance, and executive decision-making.

  • Manage and support Workday security, including role-based and user-based security, domain access, business process security policies, auditing, and periodic security reviews to ensure data confidentiality and compliance.

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance through proactive monitoring, audits, exception reporting, and reconciliation processes, with a strong emphasis on Benefits and enrollment data.

  • Partner closely with HR, Benefits, Payroll, Finance, and vendors to understand business requirements, identify gaps, and deliver Workday solutions while considering downstream impacts and integrations.

  • Support Workday releases and system updates, including impact analysis, regression testing (with a focus on Benefits and security), validation, and post-release issue resolution.

  • Provide end-user and HR team support, including ticket management, issue triage, knowledge transfer, and guidance on best practices for Workday and Benefits functionality.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Benefits, Annual Enrollment, reporting, and security, providing consultative support and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Participate in change management and go-live support, ensuring clear communication, testing sign-off, and successful adoption of new or enhanced functionality.

  • Create, maintain, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documentation, and templates related to Benefits administration, AE, reporting, and security processes.

  • Perform ad-hoc and cross-functional projects as assigned to support evolving business needs, system maturity, and continuous improvement.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field preferred

  • 5+ years’ progressive Workday experience in a corporate environment inclusive of troubleshooting issues, configuration, testing, and implementing optimizations

  • 5+ years’ Workday experience with an emphasis on Benefits and Reporting

  • Strong experience with Workday administrative functions including tenant configuration, data loads, and maintenance
