Workday HRIS Analyst – Support & Enablement

Watts is seeking a Workday HRIS Analyst – Support & Enablement to join our global HRIS team. Reporting to the HRIS Manager, this role will serve as a key point of contact for Workday support, reporting, documentation, training, and user enablement across the organization.

This position goes beyond traditional system support. The successful candidate will help ensure that employees, managers, HR partners, and other stakeholders can effectively use Workday by providing high-quality Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, developing accurate and scalable reporting solutions, maintaining HRIS documentation and resources, and delivering Workday training and onboarding.

As Watts continues to expand its Workday footprint, this role will develop broad knowledge across the Workday platform and support new functionality and modules, including areas such as HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, Learning, Talent, Performance, and Compensation. This position will also play an important role in the future implementation and ongoing administration of Workday Learning and the evolution of Watts' HR technology training and knowledge-management strategy.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 Workday support to HR, employees, managers, and other stakeholders by researching, troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving system questions and issues.

  • Manage HRIS support requests to ensure timely resolution, appropriate escalation, and a positive customer experience.

  • Troubleshoot Workday business processes, transactions, security, data, reporting, and general system functionality, partnering with HRIS and functional teams on complex issues.

  • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to configuration, processes, documentation, and training.

  • Support Workday configuration changes, testing, regression testing, release validation, and deployment of enhancements.

  • Perform audits, reconciliations, and data validation to support data quality and integrity.

  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday custom reports supporting HR operations, compliance, audits, leadership reporting, and business decision-making.

  • Translate stakeholder requirements into accurate, scalable Workday reporting solutions.

  • Maintain reports and scheduled distributions, ensuring appropriate security, accuracy, usability, and relevance.

  • Perform report validation and data-quality reviews and help maintain reporting standards, documentation, naming conventions, and governance.

  • Train and guide HR users on reports, dashboards, and self-service reporting resources.

  • Own and maintain HRIS process guides, job aids, training materials, test scripts, FAQs, and other Workday documentation.

  • Maintain Workday resources within HR resource sites and SharePoint, ensuring content is current, organized, consistent, and user-friendly.

  • Develop and deliver Workday training for HR, managers, employees, and other stakeholder groups, including foundational onboarding for new HR team members.

  • Partner with HRIS and functional teams to develop training and communications for new functionality, process changes, releases, and implementations.

  • Use support trends and user feedback to identify opportunities for additional training, documentation, and communication that improve adoption and reduce support volume.

  • Help establish consistent global standards for Workday training and documentation.

  • Support the implementation and ongoing administration of Workday Learning, including testing, documentation, training, reporting, troubleshooting, and user support.

  • Develop expertise to serve as a key HRIS resource for Workday Learning as the platform expands.

  • Partner with HR, Talent, Compliance, and other stakeholders to establish scalable processes for creating, assigning, maintaining, and managing learning content.

  • Help transition existing Workday training and process documentation into a scalable learning and knowledge-management framework.

  • Build and maintain broad functional knowledge across the Workday platform, including Core HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Performance, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, and Learning, as applicable.

  • Evaluate Workday releases and new functionality for opportunities to improve HR operations and the employee experience.

  • Support HRIS projects, implementations, acquisitions, system enhancements, and other strategic initiatives, including testing and validation of business processes, integrations, and configuration changes.

  • Support change management and communications for Workday enhancements and new functionality.

  • Document recurring issues, lessons learned, and process improvements to strengthen HRIS operations and knowledge continuity.

  • Serve as a knowledgeable, customer-focused HRIS partner who connects Workday functionality with the practical needs of HR and the business.

Travel Requirements: 10%

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; 3+ years of Workday experience in an HRIS, HR technology, or Workday support environment.

  • Hands-on Workday HCM expertise, including business process troubleshooting, user support, custom reporting, calculated fields, and complex reporting requirements.

  • Strong documentation, training, and communication skills, with experience creating job aids, procedures, and training materials and translating technical concepts into clear, user-friendly guidance for nontechnical audiences.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and customer-service skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities while collaborating across HR, IT, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and other teams and appropriately handling confidential employee information.

  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.

  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background check, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Broad Workday functional experience beyond Core HCM, including areas such as Learning, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation, Talent, and Performance, preferably within a global or multi-country environment.

  • Advanced Workday reporting and system support experience, including Advanced, Matrix, Composite and/or Transposed reports, calculated fields, dashboards, report security, release/regression testing, and change management.

  • Experience within an enterprise HRIS or shared-services environment, including maintaining HR knowledge bases, SharePoint sites, or other documentation repositories and supporting standardized HR technology processes.

Working Conditions

While performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment. You may be required to occasionally travel to and work in the office at the North Andover, MA location for meetings, trainings, or as otherwise required by Company management.

Pay Range

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 – $115,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
