Senior HCM Solution Consultant - German Medium Enterprise (Mittelstand) (Workday)
Workday
About the role
This customer-facing pre-sales role supports German Mittelstand organisations, with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or with customers, prospects, and partners. You’ll lead discovery, business cases, and Workday HCM demonstrations covering areas such as core HR, talent, compensation, time and absence, and workforce planning, including AI capabilities and DACH requirements such as GDPR and works councils. You need 3–4+ years in pre-sales, implementation consulting, or enterprise SaaS, plus fluent German and business-fluent English.
About the Team
You have the opportunity to work with the best and brightest people in the industry at Workday, where our core culture is built on a fundamental belief: take care of your employees, and they will take care of your customers. Workday consistently achieves one of the highest customer satisfaction rates in the enterprise software industry. In our DACH team, you will join a high-performing, collaborative community dedicated to empowering organizations through modern cloud technology.
About the Role

Leveraging functional expertise in Workday’s HCM suite and a strong understanding of the DACH business landscape, you will play a key role throughout the sales process.
In partnership with Account Executives, Value Managers, and Services Teams, you will analyze organizational challenges, address local regulatory and operational nuances, and deliver tailored, impactful presentations and product demonstrations that illustrate how Workday creates tangible business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Strategic Vision: Transform business requirements from German medium-sized enterprises into a compelling, realistic vision of the "Future of Work" through interactive demonstrations.
- Navigate Mittelstand Needs: Demonstrate how Workday addresses specific DACH-region priorities—including local compliance, works council (Betriebsrat) considerations, data privacy (GDPR), and pragmatic cloud adoption.
- Lead with AI & Technological Innovation: Show prospects how Workday’s AI Platform for HR, Machine Learning, and Agentic AI automate routine administration, optimize workforce planning, and solve critical operational bottlenecks.
- Master Discovery & Strategy: Conduct thorough discovery with key decision-makers to uncover business challenges, build tailored solution strategies, and highlight Workday's key differentiators.
- Deliver High-Impact Demonstrations: Prepare and lead compelling demonstrations of the full Workday HCM suite, addressing customer requirements and objections with confidence and domain credibility.
- Evangelize Trustworthy AI: Clearly articulate Workday’s "Trustworthy AI" framework, explaining how embedded machine learning enhances decision-making and efficiency while maintaining high standards of data security and transparency.
- Collaborative Deal Partnering: Partner seamlessly with Account Executives, Value Managers, and Services Teams to build clear business cases and ROI models for digital transformation.
- Market Insights: Maintain sharp visibility into DACH market trends, local HCM software competitors, and Workday’s evolving product roadmap to help win key medium-enterprise accounts.

Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
