Senior Workday Financials Integration Developer

AG Consulting Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Workday Financials Integration Developer to support a large-scale technology and financial systems modernization initiative. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex integrations between enterprise applications and Workday Financials. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on expertise in C#/.NET, REST APIs, Azure, SQL, and enterprise integration development with experience working within the Workday ecosystem.

This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, financial analysts, and technical teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, reliable integration solutions. The role also requires strong technical leadership, including solution architecture, code reviews, troubleshooting, and mentoring other developers.

This is a 6-month consulting engagement.

Work Location

This engagement is hybrid and requires that the consultant reside in WA and be willing to travel to Olympia and/or Tum Water, WA for in-person meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions as needed throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement end-to-end integrations between enterprise systems and Workday Financials.
  • Build, test, deploy, and maintain complex integrations using RESTful APIs, Workday Web Services, and Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs).
  • Perform data mapping, transformation, and validation across different application schemas and Workday object models.
  • Architect scalable and maintainable integration solutions.
  • Develop clean, efficient, testable C#/.NET code while establishing and maintaining development standards.
  • Partner with business analysts, financial stakeholders, and technical teams to refine requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration and application issues and identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Lead code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
  • Manage and support CI/CD pipelines, source control, and deployment processes.
  • Participate in Agile delivery processes, including backlog management, sprint planning, and execution using Azure DevOps.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, system documentation, integration documentation, and implementation materials.
  • Navigate ambiguity and evolving requirements while maintaining delivery momentum and technical quality.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, with significant hands-on experience in:
    • C#
    • .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
    • REST APIs
    • Microsoft Azure
  • Strong SQL and relational database development skills, including experience with stored procedures, views, and complex queries.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise system integrations.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools, including Azure DevOps and Git.
  • Working knowledge of .NET Framework and Web Forms.
  • Experience working within Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Workday, particularly Workday Financials and Workday integration frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience developing or supporting Workday Financials integrations.
  • Experience with Workday Web Services and Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs).
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with React or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Data engineering and enterprise data integration experience using Azure technologies and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience developing dashboards or reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.
  • Familiarity with code quality, security scanning, and application security analysis tools.
  • Experience working on complex enterprise modernization or financial systems transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will be a senior-level developer who can operate with a high degree of independence while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams. You should be comfortable moving between architecture and hands-on development, solving complex integration challenges, and helping establish technical direction and development best practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who brings strong Microsoft development expertise and enterprise integration experience and wants to play a key technical role in a complex Workday Financials implementation.

The annual salary range for this role is: $110,000 - $210,000.
