The Oracle HCM Practice Leader is responsible for the strategic vision, growth, and success of Apex IT's Oracle HCM consulting practice. This role provides executive leadership across business development, solution strategy, delivery excellence, talent development, and client success while driving the expansion of the Oracle HCM practice.

As a trusted advisor to clients, Oracle, and Apex IT leadership, the Oracle HCM Practice Leader partners with executives to solve complex business challenges through Oracle Cloud HCM. This leader shapes transformational solutions, leads strategic sales pursuits, develops long-term client relationships, and ensures the successful delivery of high-quality consulting services that deliver measurable business outcomes.

The Oracle HCM Practice Leader is accountable for building a high-performing consulting organization by developing talent, establishing delivery standards, fostering innovation, and creating scalable service offerings that position Apex IT as a leading Oracle Cloud partner. Success in this role requires a balance of executive leadership, consultative selling, practice management, and deep Oracle HCM expertise.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Own the client

    • Help with executive alignment regarding customers and escalations.

    • Manage and ensure issue resolution

    • Participate on projects as an Executive Sponsor

    • Own the account relationships in relation to Delivery

  • Own the partner

    • Manage the relationship and alignment with Oracle

    • Manage the relationship with partnerships in the ecosystem

  • Own the direction and growth of the Oracle HCM Practice

    • Participates in the Sales planning process

    • Align with Sales leadership

    • Manage the go to market strategy

    • Help drive the organization and people in the organization with where to focus and where we need training and certifications.

    • Help selling teams strategically decide where to focus, what solutions to bring to market, and what products to focus on

    • Manage how we enable team to implement Oracle

    • Possess an overall awareness of everything going on in Oracle/Salesforce

    • Help with high-level solutioning of sales in emerging areas

  • Transformational Leadership

    • Lead the strategic evolution of the Oracle HCM practice by defining the vision, roadmap, and long-term growth strategy.

    • Drive innovation by bringing new Oracle Cloud capabilities, AI, automation, and industry best practices into client solutions.

    • Build scalable delivery methodologies, accelerators, reusable assets, and implementation standards that improve project quality and profitability.

    • Champion organizational change for clients, helping executives adopt modern HR operating models and maximize business value from Oracle Cloud.

    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, mentoring consultants and developing future practice leaders.

    • Identify emerging market trends and align service offerings to meet evolving customer needs.

  • Sales & Business Development

    • Partner with Sales Executives to develop account strategies and grow Oracle HCM services revenue.

    • Serve as the executive advisor during complex pursuits, discovery workshops, executive presentations, and solution demonstrations.

    • Lead solution strategy for large transformational Oracle Cloud opportunities.

    • Develop compelling value propositions, business cases, and executive presentations for prospective clients.

    • Own solution architecture, staffing strategy, delivery approach, pricing, and risk management for proposals.

    • Support RFP and RFI responses, Statements of Work (SOWs), and contract negotiations.

    • Expand existing client relationships by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities across Oracle applications and managed services.

    • Build executive relationships with Oracle account teams to develop joint pipeline and co-sell opportunities.

    • Represent Apex IT at Oracle events, conferences, webinars, and customer executive briefings.

  • Involvement with staffing and internal projects

    • Conduct interviews and suggest the people needed

    • Work with recruiting to make recommendations based on upcoming areas of focus for sales

    • Make recommendations on investment of staff

    • Direct/approve ideas for internal projects

Work Environment:

The work environment is remote or on-site at a customer location. While remote, employees are expected to provide an office space for themselves with a professional background (including virtual backgrounds) and noise level.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Bending, sitting lifting, driving.
