About the role

TL;DR

The Workforce Technology function administers, supports, optimizes, integrates, and governs the organization’s Human Capital Management (HCM), Workforce Management (WFM), Payroll, Recruiting, Onboarding, Benefits Administration, Talent Management, and related workforce technology platforms. The function partners across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Operations, IT, Compliance, and other business areas to support employee lifecycle processing, workforce data integrity, payroll and labor accuracy, compliance, reporting, automation, and a consistent user experience across integrated systems.

The Senior HCM & Workforce Systems Analyst serves as the functional and technical subject matter expert for HCM, WFM, Payroll, Talent, Recruiting, Onboarding, Benefits Administration, and related workforce technology solutions. This role supports administration, configuration, testing, reporting, integrations, implementations, security/access requests, data validation, ticket management, process automation, and continuous improvement while aligning system functionality with payroll processing, employee lifecycle administration, workforce compliance, data governance, and business intelligence needs.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Serve as functional and technical SME for HCM, WFM, Payroll, Timekeeping, and related workforce technology platforms, with primary focus on UKG Workforce Dimensions.

  • Configure, maintain, test, and optimize Core HR, Payroll, Timekeeping, Accruals, Benefits Administration, Recruiting, Onboarding, Talent Management, Performance, Security, Organizational Management, pay rules, employment terms, profiles, and related configuration.

  • Support payroll-related configuration and validation for payroll processing, earnings and deductions, payroll calculations, overtime, shift differentials, wage and hour requirements, tax considerations, and compliance needs.

  • Maintain workforce data governance standards to ensure employee, organizational, labor, payroll, benefits, recruiting, talent, security, and reporting data is accurate and synchronized across systems.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, research, document, and resolve system, interface, integration, configuration, access, and data flow issues across HCM, WFM, payroll, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, talent, and related platforms.

  • Translate business requirements into functional requirements, configuration recommendations, reports, dashboards, queries, test plans, change documentation, and process improvements.

  • Lead or support system implementations, module deployments, conversions, upgrades, enhancements, releases, integrations, user acceptance testing, and change activities.

  • Manage and track configuration changes, access requests, production support, enhancements, testing, and user issues through established ticketing, change control, and project management processes.

  • Conduct data validation, reconciliations, audits, and root cause analysis to support payroll accuracy, workforce data integrity, tax and wage compliance, reporting reliability, controls, and audit readiness.

  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, queries, extracts, documentation, process maps, test scripts, SOPs, user guides, training materials, and knowledge resources.

  • Provide training, technical guidance, status updates, and escalated support to end users and stakeholders across Payroll, HR, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Operations, Compliance, IT, leadership, and vendors.

  • Support security administration, role-based access, confidentiality requirements, audit controls, data privacy, segregation of duties, and protection of sensitive employee and workforce information.

Marginal Functions of the Job

  • Maintain SOPs, user guides, training resources, ticket documentation, and system documentation as needed.

  • Offer training and technical guidance to company staff, where appropriate.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Normal Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, and core hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This employee may work more than 40 hours weekly to fulfill the duties of the position.

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Human Resource Information Systems, Human Resources, Finance, Computer Science, or related field required; equivalent experience considered.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Workforce Management, HCM, Payroll, HRIS, or related enterprise systems.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting UKG Workforce Dimensions, Kronos Workforce Dimensions, or similar WFM platforms.

  • Experience supporting HCM modules such as Core HR, Benefits Administration, Recruiting, Onboarding, Talent Management, Performance, Security, Organizational Management, Payroll, and Timekeeping preferred.

  • Experience with timekeeping configuration required, including pay rules, accruals, schedules, employment terms, profiles, overtime, shift differentials, and similar WFM components.

  • Experience supporting payroll processing, payroll calculations, earnings and deductions, payroll compliance, tax regulation considerations, wage and hour requirements, and payroll-related system configuration preferred.

  • Experience participating in or leading HCM, Payroll, WFM, HR technology, module deployment, implementation, conversion, upgrade, or integration projects required.

  • Experience using ticketing systems and change management processes to manage configuration changes, access requests, production support, enhancements, testing, and issue resolution preferred.

  • Experience with complex workflows, databases, reporting tools, and integrated enterprise systems. UKG, Workday, or similar cloud-based HCM/WFM platform experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of workforce management operations, payroll processes, labor reporting, compliance, integrations, data governance, and workforce technology solutions.

  • Strong analytical, root cause analysis, data reconciliation, testing, solution implementation, communication, and project coordination skills.

  • Understanding of security administration, role-based access, data privacy, confidentiality, segregation of duties, business process redesign, and handling of sensitive employee information.
