Sr. HRIS Analyst (Oracle)

CharterCARE$90k-$120k / yr

Providence, RI, United StatesOn-site

About the role

TL;DR

This six-month temp-to-perm role leads HR and payroll data work for an Oracle-to-Oracle migration and a 2027 MEDITECH Expanse implementation. You’ll own conversion, reconciliation, testing, cutover, interfaces, and data-quality controls, while building Oracle OTBI and BI Publisher reports. The role requires 3 to 5 years of HRIS experience, advanced SQL, working Python skills, and Oracle experience. Salary is $90,000 to $120,000.

We’re modernizing the systems that support our workforce. CharterCARE is in the middle of an Oracle-to-Oracle migration, with a MEDITECH Expanse implementation to follow in 2027. The Senior HRIS Analyst will be the hands-on technical expert guiding both efforts, working side by side with our HRIS Director and Payroll Director. This is someone who knows that a successful data load doesn’t always mean the data is right, and who can prove that what moved is accurate. Beyond the implementations, you’ll help us build the reporting depth and data-quality controls that support a more data-driven HR and payroll function.

What You’ll Do

Data Conversion and Reconciliation

  • Serve as the hands-on technical lead for HR and payroll data through the Oracle migration and the 2027 MEDITECH Expanse implementation

  • Lead data conversion, mapping, and cleanup efforts across system transitions

  • Perform source-to-target validation and field-level reconciliation to confirm converted data is accurate, not just successfully loaded

  • Build exception reports that surface conversion issues early and drive them to resolution before go-live

Testing and Cutover

  • Plan and execute testing across multiple conversion cycles, including interface testing, payroll validation, UAT, and regression testing

  • Partner with Payroll to validate calculations, deductions, and pay results, and resolve data-related payroll issues

  • Support production validation and cutover, and help stabilize systems after go-live

Reporting and Analytics

  • Build and maintain reports directly in Oracle OTBI and BI Publisher, serving as the internal go-to for HR and payroll reporting

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, validate, and reconcile HR and payroll data

  • Use Python to automate data processing, file transformations, and recurring reports

  • Analyze and present workforce data to support HR, Payroll, Finance, and leadership decision-making

Interfaces and Data Quality

  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot inbound and outbound interfaces with benefits carriers, payroll vendors, and other third parties, including flat file and EDI 834 feeds

  • Reconcile interface data on a recurring basis to confirm what is sent and received matches the system of record

  • Design and run ongoing data-quality audits and controls that catch issues before they become operational problems

  • Document system processes, interface specifications, and data definitions

  • Maintain data integrity, security, and compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations

What You’ll Bring

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on HRIS experience

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle (Oracle Cloud HCM strongly preferred)

  • Hands-on experience building reports in Oracle OTBI and BI Publisher

  • Strong working knowledge of payroll and HR data, including how the two connect

  • Proven experience with data conversion, source-to-target reconciliation, and testing on at least one HRIS or payroll implementation

  • Advanced SQL skills (required)

  • Working proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation

  • Experience building and supporting benefits or other vendor interfaces, including flat file integrations

  • A detail-oriented, controls-minded approach to data accuracy

  • Ability to present data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Healthcare industry experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting multiple full-cycle HRIS or payroll implementations through cutover

  • Exposure to MEDITECH or other healthcare enterprise systems

  • Experience in a multi-facility or unionized healthcare environment

  • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau

This is a 6 month temp-to-perm position with a salary range of $90,000 - $120,000
