About the Role

We are looking for a Workday Integration Specialist to join our People & Payroll Systems team, an energetic team focused on building resilient and efficient solutions to difficult problems. The Workday Integration Specialist serves as a technical point of contact for production support issues and assigned projects, including solution design, technical documentation, and implementation. We strive to build reliable, fault-tolerant systems that can operate at Cloudflare’s scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Work on a range of system integration support, technical debt and HR initiatives involving Workday, Greenhouse, middleware, data lakes and other systems.
  • Help design, build, test, and support inbound and outbound Workday integrations.
  • Integrate Workday HCM with third-party global payroll and benefits providers.
  • Configure integration security.
  • Troubleshoot and fix production support issues.
  • Develop Workday custom reports, including BIRT.
  • Create and launch EIBs.
  • Work with teams to communicate, verify, and test desired functionality changes.
  • Leverage AI to build solutions, document solutions and streamline processes.
  • Work with internal business users to demonstrate changes to the system and ensure all relevant business needs are addressed.
  • Create and maintain system design documentation.
  • Enforce Workday integration best practices and standards.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities through effective organization and communication.
  • Work on other assigned projects and tasks as needed.

Examples of Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology-related field, or relevant experience implementing business systems.
  • Proficient technical knowledge of Workday HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Management, and third-party payroll vendors such as ADP, CloudPay, Safeguard, and TMF.
  • Workday integration certifications preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in software development.
  • Experience developing Workday inbound and outbound integrations.
  • Experience developing Workday custom reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.
  • Experience developing Workday EIBs, Core Connectors, RaaS, and web services.
  • Experience working with Workday Studio.
  • Experience working with Workday Object Transporter (OX).
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to help build solutions and build documentation.
  • Knowledge of XML and XSLT; Java and MVEL are secondary technical skills.
  • Experience monitoring and maintaining interfaces between Workday and internal or external vendor systems.
  • Self-motivated and exceptionally detail-oriented.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively while demonstrating a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to think through and deliver creative, value-added solutions through self-initiative and ownership.
  • Experience with Jira and Google Suite.
  • Experience building strong working relationships with business partners, application users, project managers, internal IT teams, and external application consultants.
