Senior HRIS Analyst (Workday)

Duration: Temporary/Contractor

The Senior HRIS Analyst is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing optimization of HRIS solutions, with a primary focus on enabling scalable, compliant, and efficient HR operations. This role operates with advanced expertise to design, configure, and support system capabilities (including Workday), while influencing processes, standards, and cross-functional integration across the HR ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

HRIS Solution Design & Delivery

  • Lead the design, configuration, and enhancement of HRIS functionality to meet evolving business needs
  • Translate business requirements into system solutions, workflows, and reporting models
  • Develop and implement scalable processes that align with enterprise P&W transformation goals
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to ensure system alignment across functions

Workday (or HRIS) Expertise & Capability Building

  • Serve as a subject matter resource in HRIS platforms, building depth in Workday functionality and best practices
  • Apply advanced knowledge to optimize system usage, improve user experience, and drive adoption
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements based on data, trends, and business needs
  • Support testing, releases, and continuous improvement cycles

Data, Reporting & Insights

  • Design and deliver advanced reporting capabilities across HR systems to support HR and business decision-making
  • Ensure data accuracy, governance, and integrity across HR systems
  • Develop complex reporting solutions and automation to improve efficiency and insight generation

Problem Solving & Innovation

  • Analyze complex issues involving multiple variables and systems; develop creative and effective solutions
  • Establish new approaches, frameworks, or processes where existing ones do not fully meet needs
  • Exercise judgment in adapting system configurations, business processes, or reporting methodologies

Collaboration & Influence

  • Partner across HR COEs and business stakeholders to align system capabilities with business priorities
  • Communicate complex system concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Influence decisions through data, expertise, and practical recommendations
  • Provide guidance and informal leadership to team members on HRIS practices and standards

Transformation & Change Enablement

  • Support organizational transformation through adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working
  • Contribute to establishing new standards for HRIS delivery, service models, and operating practices
  • Demonstrate adaptability in evolving environments with shifting priorities and expectations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of HRIS experience, including Workday administration, configuration, and support.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and systems, including HR, Payroll, and Finance integrations.
  • Experience translating business requirements into scalable system solutions and process improvements.
  • Advanced reporting and data analysis skills with a focus on data integrity and governance.
  • Experience supporting system testing, releases, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting HR technology, transformation, and change management initiatives.
  • Workday certification(s) preferred.

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $81,000 - $130,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
