HR Operations Specialist – SAP SuccessFactors

About the role

TL;DR

Use SAP SuccessFactors to support employees and managers with HR questions and process hires, job changes, leave, and terminations. You’ll maintain confidential employee data, manage workflows and approvals, resolve self-service issues, and support reporting and process improvements. The role suits someone with 2–3 years in HR Operations or shared services, SAP SuccessFactors or another core HR system experience, and fluent English.

As an HR Operations Specialist with a focus on SAP SuccessFactors, you will provide first-line HR support to employees and managers and administer employee lifecycle processes. You will use SAP SuccessFactors to process HR transactions, maintain accurate employee data, coordinate approvals and deliver consistent employee experience.

Your key responsibilities

  • Providing first-line HR support to employees and managers on HR processes, policies, systems and employee lifecycle activities.
  • Processing employee lifecycle transactions in SAP SuccessFactors, including hires, data and job changes, leaves of absence and terminations.
  • Reviewing requests, initiating workflows and coordinating approvals in line with defined processes and service level agreements.
  • Maintaining accurate employee data and organizational records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Supporting employees and managers with SAP SuccessFactors self-service and resolving transaction or system issues.
  • Preparing HR documentation and escalating complex or non-standard requests to the relevant teams.
  • Supporting data quality, reporting and continuous improvement in collaboration with HR stakeholders.

Skills and attributes for success

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong attention to detail, a service-oriented mindset and confidence in working with HR data and systems. You are comfortable managing multiple transactions, following structured workflows and supporting employees and managers in a fast-paced environment.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 2–3 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Shared Services, Administration or a similar employee support role.
  • Experience providing first-line HR support and administering employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employee changes, leave administration and offboarding.
  • Experience working with SAP SuccessFactors, preferably Employee Central, or another core HR system, including employee data maintenance and workflow processing.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy, confidentiality and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Practical experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, including employee data management, workflows, role-based permissions or employee and manager self-service.
  • Experience working in a shared services, global business services or international environment.
  • Knowledge of HR data management, data quality, organizational structures and service delivery best practices.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, system testing, reporting or knowledge management initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
