FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Programme Manager (Workday) to work for our client within the retail sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.

Our client is seeking an experienced professional to lead the end-to-end delivery of a global Workday workforce planning programme. The successful candidate will have previous experience rolling out Workday solutions, with Workday Adaptive Planning experience particularly desirable. The programme will implement a single workforce planning solution across multiple international markets, integrating with Workday HCM and Finance systems and supporting improved headcount management, scenario modelling and people budget planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the programme end to end from a People Solutions perspective, including governance, planning, budget tracking, risk and issue management, and sponsor reporting
  • Manage the systems integrator, overseeing scope, change requests, deliverable acceptance and challenging delivery where required.
  • Own business readiness throughout process design, user acceptance testing, go-live, hypercare and subsequent rollout stages.
  • Coordinate activity and resource commitments across People, Finance and local technology teams within participating markets.
  • Own data readiness, including HR and Finance feeds, position and headcount definitions, planning assumptions and key drivers.
  • Act as the key link between People and Finance teams at both global and local market level.
  • Collaborate with wider Workday and People Solutions teams to understand dependencies, impacts and requirements.
  • Support the phased international rollout of Workday Adaptive Planning, from initial pilot markets through to full deployment.
  • Prepare a structured handover to the permanent Product Owner, including the decision log, design rationale and product backlog.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on delivery of Workday Adaptive Planning, ideally workforce planning integrated with Workday HCM
  • Client-side experience managing a systems integrator, with the credibility to challenge it
  • Multi-country rollouts (pilot, then waves) in a matrix organisation; luxury or retail is a plus
  • Fluency across P&O and Finance data and budget cycles
  • Fluent English; working French strongly preferred
  • Direct and structured, and comfortable giving senior stakeholders bad news early
  • Independent of the systems integrator bidding for or awarded this programme
