TL;DR

The Workday HCM Implementation Specialist supports the organization’s implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Human Capital Management. This role serves as an internal subject matter expert and liaison between HR, IT, business stakeholders, and Workday implementation partners to ensure the system is configured to meet organizational requirements and HR processes. Key responsibilities include gathering and documenting business requirements, supporting data conversion and validation, configuring and testing Workday functionality, troubleshooting implementation issues, developing reports, documenting processes, and assisting with user acceptance testing and go-live readiness. The specialist also supports end-user training, change management, and post-implementation stabilization while helping establish sustainable Workday processes and system governance.
