Humboldt Park Health is seeking a highly detail-oriented and systems-savvy Payroll & Human Resources Administrator to own payroll execution, strengthen HR operations, and ensure data integrity across our workforce.
This role sits at the intersection of payroll, HRIS administration, and workforce analytics. You will be responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, HR data is clean and actionable, and processes are compliant, efficient, and scalable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Payroll Administration & Management
- Own end-to-end payroll processing using UKG UltiPro for a multi-department workforce
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including regular, overtime, and supplemental pay
- Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, and pre- and post-processing validations
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
- Partner with Finance on payroll reporting, general ledger alignment, and reconciliations
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries with urgency and precision
- Maintain payroll records in accordance with regulatory requirements
HRIS Administration
- Administer employee lifecycle transactions impacting payroll, including hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations
- Ensure accuracy of employee data impacting compensation, benefits, and timekeeping
- Support benefits administration as it relates to payroll deductions and reporting
- Partner with HR Generalists and leadership to ensure compensation changes are properly documented and executed
- Maintain personnel records and ensure appropriate documentation is stored and accessible
HR Data & Analytics
- Maintain high standards of data integrity within UKG UltiPro
- Develop and deliver regular and ad hoc reports on payroll, headcount, turnover, and workforce trends
- Analyze HR and payroll data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement
- Support leadership reporting needs with clear, actionable insights
- Assist in building dashboards and metrics that inform decision-making
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure payroll and HR processes align with all applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies
- Maintain audit readiness at all times, including documentation, reporting, and system accuracy
- Identify inefficiencies in payroll and HR workflows and implement process improvements
- Support HR audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting
- Act as a subject matter expert for UKG UltiPro and drive optimization of system capabilities
- Create and maintain SOPs for payroll and HR administrative processes
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of payroll and HR administration experience, preferably in healthcare or a multi-state environment
- Strong experience with UKG UltiPro (or UKG Pro) preferred, but not required
- Deep understanding of payroll processes, wage and hour laws, and tax compliance
- High proficiency in Excel and HRIS reporting tools
- Exceptional attention to detail with a zero-error mindset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
Licensure and Certification
Where a professional license or certification is required, the candidate must maintain the applicable license or certification throughout employment and comply with applicable renewal and reporting requirements.

This position follows a Full-Time schedule with during business hours. This position is 100% onsite. Flexibility may be required based on patient care and operational needs.
Compensation
Pay Range: $80,000 per year
The pay range represents the budgeted compensation range for this position. Final offers may vary based on job-related factors, including qualifications, education, experience, skill set, internal equity, applicable policies, and other factors permitted by law.
