This remote sales-hunter role focuses on winning new customers and expanding existing accounts for Workday consulting services, with a focus on financial services. You’ll build pipeline through the Workday channel and direct territory, lead complex sales cycles, and work with C-suite through manager-level executives. Bring 5–10 years in IT professional services or management consulting sales, a strong Workday network, and knowledge of Workday SaaS products; compensation includes uncapped commission.
The Business Development Director is responsible for several key areas crucial to the growth of Huron’s solution areas. They will maintain Huron’s status as the premier provider of services to clients. The Business Development Director is primarily tasked with generating new business for the group, with a primary focus on selling direct-to-customer solutions.
In addition to sales and account acquisition activities, the Business Development Director is responsible for providing exceptional account management and customer service to our valued clients. This includes frequent contact with existing and prospective clients, via telephone, email, and in-person meetings. They will anticipate and respond to staffing requests, RFP’s and all business opportunities, and seek opportunities to provide additional Huron services to our clients when appropriate. As a Workday Business Development Director (customer base), you’ll play a key role in the success of our established Workday practice by acquiring new customers and positioning Huron’s Digital Solutions as a Strategic Workday Partner of Choice, identifying opportunities and avenues to sell new Workday consulting service offerings and solutions.

Your expertise in Workday SaaS products and solutions means you’ll be adept at establishing and managing client relationships with key decision makers and building trust by understanding your client's business goals to deliver successful outcomes. With your exemplary sales skills, professional services experience, and a deep understanding of Workday SaaS products, you’ll be able to work with cross-functional teams to ensure your client’s goals are being achieved through first-class service delivery.
You'll be responsible for:
- Sales of Workday Consulting services, including developing new accounts and expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory, industry, product segment, or channel.
- Networking and developing strong business relationships with customers such that they turn to Huron as a trusted solution provider.
- Prospecting for new opportunities both within the channel (Workday) and direct territory specifically in the Financial Services space.
- Prospecting and growing the sales pipeline, generating qualified leads, submitting proposals to the client utilizing a broad knowledge of Huron’s service offerings.
- Working closely with experienced Workday architects and delivery professionals to align Huron’s solutions to the client’s needs.
- Effectively leading and executing complex sales cycles from deal qualification, deal strategy, competitive analysis, and contract negotiating.
- Communicating, and partnering with C-Suite, VP, Director, and Manager level executives.
A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a sales hunter role in the IT professional services or management consulting industries.
Demonstrated expertise, history of sustained success and a strong network within the Workday market.
