About the role
This fully remote role requires at least three years as a Workday Report Writer across Workday Student, HCM, and Financial Management, plus two years in higher education or university analytics. You’ll build and maintain standard, custom, composite, and matrix reports, dashboards, and reporting tools, then analyze Workday data for students, courses, personnel, and finance. A bachelor’s degree and Microsoft SQL Server and Excel experience are required; HCM or Financials Reporting Certification is preferred.
The fully remote Workday Report Writer position reports to the Director of Institutional Research, Planning & Assessment. This position will provide information, reporting, data management, and decision support to the Office of Institutional Research, Planning & Assessment, to the University community, and to external constituents and stakeholders.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Under limited supervision, extract, compile, analyze, and report institutional data from Workday on students, courses, personnel, finance, and other university areas as requested.
Design, develop, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and reporting tools (standard, custom, composite, and matrix) while adhering to business requirements and best practices.
Analyze data and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from an accredited four-year college or university.
Minimum 3 years experience as a Workday Report Writer, including Workday Student, Workday HCM and Workday Financal Management.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in higher education, university analytics, enrollment analytics, or higher education reporting.
Experience supporting IPEDS, accreditation, retention, graduation, faculty reporting and other higher education business processes in Workday strongly preferred.
HCM Reporting Certification or Financials Reporting Certification preferred.
