HRIS Manager (SuccessFactors)

About the role

TL;DR

Own the global HR technology strategy and SAP SuccessFactors environment, including Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Performance, Learning, and related modules. Lead integrations, data governance, security, reporting, implementations, and process improvements across regions and time zones. Serve as the main SuccessFactors contact and lead HRIS analysts and other assigned resources; certification in a SuccessFactors module is preferred.

The HRIS Manager owns the strategic direction, governance, administration, optimization, and support of the organization's global HR Information Systems, with primary responsibility for SAP SuccessFactors. This role partners closely with People Operations, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Finance, IT, and regional HR teams to ensure HR systems effectively support global business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the global HR technology strategy and roadmap.
  • Own and support SAP SuccessFactors modules (Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Performance & Goals, Succession & Development, Learning, Reporting & Analytics).
  • Configure workflows, business rules, notifications, permissions, and foundation data for global consistency and local needs.
  • Manage integrations with payroll, benefits, finance, talent, identity systems, and third-party platforms; oversee APIs and data exchanges.
  • Define and enforce HR data governance standards, including validation, audits, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure system security, privacy, and compliance with IT, Legal, and Information Security.
  • Build HR reports, dashboards, and analytics on headcount, turnover, recruitment, compensation, performance, learning, and succession.
  • Lead HRIS implementations, module rollouts, enhancements, and transformation projects end-to-end.
  • Identify and deliver process improvements and automation to reduce manual work and duplicate entry.
  • Act as the main SuccessFactors contact for People Operations and business teams; manage SAP and vendor relationships.
  • Create user guides, training materials, and FAQs; deliver training and change management.
  • Lead and develop HRIS analysts, setting priorities and service expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Substantial HRIS experience with hands-on SAP SuccessFactors expertise, including Employee Central and additional modules.
  • Proven experience leading HR technology projects, implementations, integrations, and enhancements in a global or multi-regional environment.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors integrations (payroll or other third-party platforms), system security, role-based permissions, data governance, testing, and reporting.
  • SAP SuccessFactors certification in one or more modules is preferred.
  • Prior experience leading or coaching HRIS resources is a plus.

Key Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of HR processes and the employee lifecycle.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into system functionality and documented specifications.
  • Solid knowledge of HRIS integrations, APIs, data mapping, scheduled interfaces, and error handling.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills; able to manage multiple priorities across regions and time zones.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR reporting/analytics tools.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to: Global Director, People Operations & Support (or designated People Operations leader).
May directly supervise: HRIS Analysts, HCM Business Analysts, HR Technology Specialists, or other assigned resources.
