Senior Workday HCM Analyst

TL;DR

This is a three-month contract for a hands-on Workday HCM specialist working onsite in London. You’ll configure and troubleshoot Core HCM, Compensation, Absence, Recruitment, and Performance, with a strong focus on business processes, security, reporting, and job architecture. The role needs 5+ years of Workday configuration experience, including work in a multi-country environment and support for integrations, releases, and HR projects.

What you’ll do

The Senior HCM Workday Analyst is a hands-on specialist responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Workday's Human Capital Management (HCM) system within MiQ. This role works directly in the system to build and fix business processes, security, and reporting, ensuring Workday runs accurately and supports HR's day-to-day needs.

The Workday Analyst is part of the ERP team and works closely with HR to resolve issues, implement changes, and ensure data integrity and accuracy across Workday processes. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, work confidently and independently, and take ownership of their workload with minimal day-to-day guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain Workday HCM modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Absence, Recruitment, and Performance.

  • Build, test, and troubleshoot business processes for hiring, position management, compensation changes, job changes, terminations, and delegations.

  • Maintain job profiles, job families, competencies, and management levels in line with MiQ's job architecture,

  • Configure, review and maintain security groups and role-based access for the business, resolving access issues as they arise.

  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to support workforce reporting, headcount tracking, and data validation.

  • Diagnose and resolve day-to-day Workday tickets and configuration issues, escalating complex platform issues to Workday or vendors/consultants where needed.

  • Support testing and configuration work for Workday releases and enhancements, working alongside external implementation partners (e.g., CloudRock) as required.

  • Support current in-flight projects e.g. Geo expansions, Peakon, Performance and future mergers and acquisitions and also Workday help tickets.

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring Workday HCM.

  • Strong, demonstrable configuration experience across HCM, Security, Recruitment, Compensation, Job Architecture, Reporting, and Performance.

  • Experience troubleshooting business processes, security, and integrations in a multi-country/global environment.

  • Solid understanding of job architecture and the importance and maintenance of it, including job profiles, job families, competencies, and compensation grades Strong reporting and data skills — building reports, validating data, creating calculated fields and identifying data quality issues.

  • Strong business process knowledge to review existing processes, identify issues and improve & automate the processes, removing manual steps where necessary and implementing manager self service.

  • Experience supporting integrations across payroll, recruitment, absence, and learning modules.
