The Director, Payroll & HRIS provides strategic and operational leadership for Payroll and Human Resources Information Systems supporting approximately 25,000 associates across Omni Hotels & Resorts. This role leads to payroll operations, HR technology, reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement while maximizing the organization's investment in Dayforce through innovation, automation, and operational excellence.

Working closely with Human Resources, Finance, IT, Operations, and property leadership, the Director strengthens Shared Services by expanding centralized support, improving business processes, and delivering scalable technology solutions that enhance the associate and manager experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise payroll operations supporting approximately 25,000 associates while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional customer service.

  • Oversee the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Dayforce platform, including Payroll, Workforce Management, Reporting, and Analytics.

  • Continue maximizing the organization's investment in Dayforce through automation, workflow optimization, system enhancements, reporting, and process standardization.

  • Champion automation initiatives simplify business processes, eliminate manual work, and improve operational efficiency across Payroll Shared Services.

  • Continue enhancing the Shared Services payroll model by identifying opportunities to centralize processes, expand automation, and reduce administrative work at the property level.

  • Develop automated solutions for hospitality-specific payroll processes, including gratuities, service charges, tip allocations, IRS Section 8027 reporting, payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance.

  • Lead enterprise reporting and analytics that provide meaningful business insights and support executive decision-making.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Payroll and HRIS team while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead Payroll and HRIS projects, system enhancements, acquisitions, and new property openings while ensuring successful implementation and change management.

  • Establish strong governance, internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

  • Build collaborative partnerships with Human Resources, Finance, IT, Operations, and external vendors to continuously improve Payroll and HR technology services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and progressive leadership experience.

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Payroll, HRIS, Shared Services, or Human Capital Management.

  • Experience supporting large, multi-location organizations with 20,000+ associates.

  • Strong expertise with Dayforce HCM, including Payroll, Workforce Management, Reporting, and Analytics.

  • Proven success leading payroll operations, automation, HR technology optimization, process improvement, and organizational change.

  • Experience supporting hospitality or other complex, high-volume workforce environments preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and project management skills.

  • Expand the Shared Services payroll model through automation, centralization, and continuous improvement.

  • Maximize the organization's investment in Dayforce while improving efficiency, reporting, and the associate experience.
