Training & Development Coordinator (Dayforce)

The position: We’re looking for a Training & Development Coordinator to join our Continuous Improvement team to support the Dayforce implementation project! If you enjoy planning, creating, and delivering technical training, this role is a great fit. You’ll collaborate with the Dayforce project team, Business Owners, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to help staff across the agency learn how to navigate and perform their work in the Dayforce HR Information System (HRIS) launching at the end of 2026. Responsibilities include researching, designing, coordinating, facilitating, and evaluating training programs to support successful system adoption and confident user experience.

This is a project full-time position with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2027.

Primary location: 101 Elliott Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119.

This position works in a mix of settings, including in-office, SHA sites across Seattle, and remote environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, business, public administration, humanities, or related field
    • May substitute 4 years of relevant work experience in place of a degree
  • 4 years of experience in social services, housing, or human services.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • Skilled in effective public speaking and training techniques.
  • Experienced in delivering training to large, diverse groups across all educational levels.
  • Proficient in developing training courses with an understanding of adult learners and diverse populations.
  • Experienced in developing training content using multiple formats and technologies beyond traditional slide decks and PDFs.
  • Experienced in documenting business processes from a training perspective.

What will you do?

  • Analyze, document, and update business process workflows impacted by HRIS changes, including those connected to policies, procedures, and internal operations.
  • Document both end-user and back-office processes to ensure staff have accurate, accessible guidance.
  • Review and update HRIS-related processes and documentation as project requirements evolve.
  • Identify training needs through research and collaboration with the Dayforce project team, Business Owners, and SMEs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Dayforce project team to stay aligned with system updates and implementation timelines.
  • Plan, develop, and deliver training that helps staff confidently navigate and perform their work in the Dayforce HRIS.
  • Create clear, engaging training materials and resources that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Facilitate interactive training sessions, workshops, and system demonstrations to support successful system adoption.
  • Help coordinate training logistics, schedules, communication, and materials in partnership with the project team.
  • Draft clear guidance and communications that explain system updates, process changes, and workflow impacts.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and refine materials based on feedback and performance trends.
  • Provide ongoing support to employees as they learn and adopt the new system.
