About the role
This onsite healthcare role needs 3+ years with payroll, workforce management, HRIS, or ERP systems. You will configure and support Workday and UKG, including payroll, timekeeping, scheduling, accruals, absence, reporting, security, integrations, testing, and troubleshooting. The role works across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, vendors, and clinical leadership, with a pay range of $37.78 to $59.66 depending on experience.

Position Summary
The Workday and UKG Analyst is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the hospital’s HR technology ecosystem with primary focus on Workday and UKG. This role partners with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, and clinical leadership to ensure system accuracy, regulatory compliance, seamless integrations, and excellent end-user support in a healthcare environment that requires high reliability and data privacy.
The role serves as a technical expert for payroll, workforce management, timekeeping, scheduling, labor management, productivity, and related enterprise systems. This position is accountable for system administration, configuration support, security design, reporting, integrations, troubleshooting, testing, and continuous optimization. The position represents technical problem solving, reporting expertise, vendor coordination, data integrity, and continuous improvement across Workday and UKG.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
System Administration and Configuration
Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday and UKG.
Maintain business rules, calculations, workflows, accrual structures, scheduling structures, labor rules, and security settings.
Ensure system configurations align with organizational policies, operational requirements, and payroll processing needs.
Maintain configuration documentation, system standards, and change records.
Support system access design, role-based security, and related controls.
Technical Troubleshooting
Investigate and resolve complex data, system, configuration, and interface issues.
Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate technical issue resolution with Information Technology, vendors, and operational stakeholders.
Monitor recurring issues and recommend system or process changes to reduce future errors.
Support incident management and problem resolution activities
Provide support; manage vendor support escalations; create and maintain knowledge base articles.
Integration and Data Management
Support interfaces between payroll, workforce management, human resources, finance, and operational systems.
Validate data transfers and integration functionality.
Partner with HR, Payroll and Finance on technical infrastructure, data flow, and interface requirements.
Support implementation of new integrations and technology solutions.
Assist with data validation, conversion support, and system cleanup activities.
Testing and Change Management
Participates in testing for upgrades, releases, enhancements, patches, configuration changes, and new functionality.
Assists with development of testing plans, scripts, validation procedures, and testing documentation.
Coordinate user acceptance testing activities with Payroll, Human Resources, IT, and operational leaders.
Support production deployment and post-implementation review activities.
Other Duties
Serve as the primary technical resource for payroll and workforce management, and with their vendors.
Maintain technical issue logs, enhancement requests, testing results, and release documentation.
Participate in prioritization and roadmap discussions.
Support long-term workforce management technology planning, stabilization, and optimization.
Provide technical recommendations to support leadership decision-making.
Support workforce management stabilization and modernization initiatives.
Provide guidance regarding reporting, system functionality, and technology utilization.
Support special projects related to payroll, workforce management, productivity, and system optimization.
Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
Three+ years of payroll systems, workforce management systems, human resources information systems, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems experience.
Experience with system configuration, reporting, analytics, testing, troubleshooting, and system implementations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with UKG Workforce Management (UKG Pro Workforce Management: Timekeeping, Accruals, Absence, and Advanced Scheduler; as well as Analytics and Productivity).
Experience with Workday:
Human Resources (Human Capital Management, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent Optimization, Learning, and Absence Management)
Payroll
Finance and Supply Chain (Core Financials, Financial Planning, Procurement, Inventory, and Expenses)
Other Workday Services – Projects and Media Cloud
Experience using similar workforce management systems in a hospital.
Experience supporting healthcare organizations subject to extensive regulatory requirements.
Experience with system integrations, analytics platforms, business intelligence tools, and database reporting solutions.
Experience leading testing, release management, implementation, or system stabilization activities.
