Senior HRIS Specialist (Contract)

About the role

TL;DR

This contract role is 80% onsite and 20% remote, with 5% domestic and international travel and on-call support. It requires 15 years of relevant experience, including 10+ years in HRIS implementations across Workday HCM or Dayforce, Benefits, Compensation, Time, Absence, and Payroll. You will lead system design, configuration, testing, reporting, compliance, vendor work, and the transition to Workday and ServiceNow across North America.

Airbus Americas, Inc is looking for a Senior HRIS Specialist (Contract) to join our Human Resources team.

The Senior HRIS Specialist will support the HR business strategy and initiatives of North America: from implementing Workday HCM capabilities - Benefits, Compensation, Absence Management, Time Management and Payroll. Additionally ensuring the maintenance and evolution of our current HRIS systems fitting the business evolutions, to leading the transition to a new technology suite and implementing a new operating model.

The HR specialist will leverage their expertise to influence business and technology design decisions, to serve as the subject matter expert with external vendors and partnering with HR, IM and Legal teams to ensure system compliance with federal and state regulations, data security, privacy requirements and local constraints. The Senior HRIS Specialist will closely collaborate with stakeholders and senior members and will report to the Head of HRIS for North America.

Your Challenges:

Description

  • HRIS Specialist - HCM, Compensation, Absence Management, Time Management, Payroll and Benefits specialist: 50%

    • Oversee and maintain optimal function of the HR systems, incl. administration, development, maintenance and upgrades to applications, systems and modules.

    • Facilitate the transformation of our HRIS roadmap onto Workday and ServiceNow and additional new HRIS technologies.

    • Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions.

    • Design, customize, configure and test HR processes.

    • Proactively identify and propose business process and/or systems enhancements

    • Provide support through reporting and technical expertise for internal/external audits

    • Ensure HRIS system compliance with federal and state regulations, data security and privacy requirements

    • Serve as a strategic partner and Subject Matter Expert representing Airbus interests with HRIS suppliers, vendors and service providers.

    • Evaluate new software versions, enhancements and plans for upgrades, assist in review and management of Workday releases, train others, as needed

    • Work with SMEs, technical teams, and business process owners to research and evaluate alternatives, citing evidence in support of and making recommendations

    • Manage and diagnose issues through ticket management and on-call support + Understand the details of Workday system and educate end users on best practices

  • HR Data and Reporting:10%

    • Build reports to meet requests of the HR organization, Senior Leadership and Managers, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiencies along the way

    • Proactively apply analytical and research skills to monitor trends and elevate issues

    • Assist on the design, support and coordinate the development of business relevant analytics and processes; includes researching industry best practices, benchmarks and tools to incorporate into analytics practices

    • Support HRBP’s by fielding questions about the HR tools

    • Maintain HR databases, audit data, and propose business process improvements and automation

    • Maintain the organizational management structure to ensure the hierarchy is accurate and reflects up-to-date information for positions, reporting relationships, compensation data, cost centers, EEO reporting, worker’s compensation, Global HR reporting, and alignment.

    • Assist in ensuring data audits, integrity, testing of system changes, report writing/running/scheduling, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities

  • Project and Account Management:20%

    • Account management for products that could include HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence Management, Time Management, Payroll and ServiceNow across North America

    • Communicate with internal customers to understand their needs, design compelling solutions, meet project deadlines and prioritize projects

    • Resolve complaints and preventing additional issues by addressing process improvements

    • Work with CoEs to translate business needs into projects, including prioritization, scheduling and resource planning.

    • Identify Industry trends.

    • Act as HR Lead for in-progress HRIS system implementation, including security administration, management of cross-functional dependencies between stakeholders and system optimization post go-live

  • Support/Collaboration: 20 %

    • Partner with HR operations, Information Technology, Compensation, Managers, and Global Data Governance teams to manage and improve the HR data quality

    • Work with the team to prioritize work and establish strong partnership with IT to ensure clear governance in how value is delivered to the end users.

    • Support upgrades, testing, and new integrations, and other projects as assigned

    • Participate in quality assurance reviews and quality control monitoring efforts

    • Creates HR documentation for reporting and other HR processes

    • Collaborate with HR/HRIS team members to ensure system usage consistency across regions

    • Support employees and field questions and provide the appropriate

Your Boarding Pass:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or Human Resources Management or equivalent (required)

  • 15 years of relevant work experience

  • 10+ years experience with HRIS implementations, specifically HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Time Management and Payroll

  • Experience with Workday HCM Suite and/or Dayforce

  • Extensive full HCM lifecycle process experience including Employee Shared Service Center, HR Master Data, payroll, compensation, absence management, time management and benefits disciplines

Preferred Licensure/Certifications

  • SHRM CP or SCP, PHR or SPHR

  • HRIS

Travel Required

  • 5 % Domestic and International

Required Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities

  • Strong HR functional and technical knowledge; experience in Organizational Administration tools/systems preferred; in combination with experience in the support of various other HCM-related modules and functionality

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

Salary range:

Salary range based on the required profile is 50.00-55.00/hour. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on geographic differential and experience. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
