Principal Consultant, Client Services (Oracle)

About the role

TL;DR

Lead Oracle Cloud HCM work for mid-to-large enterprise clients, serving as their main contact, configuring solutions, resolving issues, and guiding adoption. The Principal Consultant, Client Services plays a key role in delivering impactful Oracle HCM solutions for mid-to-large enterprise clients. This role partners with clients and internal teams to understand business needs, lead strategic initiatives, deliver solutions, and ensure successful adoption, satisfaction, and long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for mid-to-large clients, maintaining regular communication, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues promptly to ensure high client satisfaction.

  • Configure Oracle Cloud HCM to meet client requirements, document application setups, and lead clients through test script execution.

  • Translate business requirements into Oracle Cloud functionality, identify gaps, and design process or system solutions to close them.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve functionality issues, proactively identifying long-term fixes and advising clients on options, risks, and downstream impacts.

  • Align client practices with validated HCM Cloud methods and best-practice solutions, then lead and present findings both internally and to clients.

  • Act as a thought leader in the Oracle Cloud space, driving innovative solutions, knowledge transfer, and internal training and collaboration.

Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Engineering, etc.

  • MBA or relevant master's degree, advanced degree preferred.

Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of Managed Services experience in a multi-client environment.

  • 3+ full life cycle Oracle HCM Cloud implementations.

  • Module-specific experience in Benefits and one of the following: Payroll, Recruiting, or Workforce Compensation.

  • Oracle certification in your modules of expertise, preferred.

  • Ability to understand fundamental system design and translate it into business context.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage mid-size client projects independently, including planning, estimating, and delivery.

  • Track record of building long-lasting client relationships and delivering complex solutions.

  • Experience supporting sales as a subject matter expert.

  • Ability to manage multiple clients and shift priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to engage effectively at both business and technical levels.

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
