Workday Quality Assurance Engineer
Concord$50-$65 / hr
About the role
This US-remote contract runs 6–12 months, with possible extension, and requires work authorization without sponsorship. You’ll test two waves of a Workday implementation across HCM modules including LMS, Advanced Compensation, Talent, Succession Planning, and People Analytics, plus integrations using Core Connectors, Workday Studio, EIB, PECI/PICOF, and Informatica. Candidates need 3+ years of QA experience, including 2+ years with Workday.
We are seeking a Workday QA professional to support a multi-wave Workday implementation, with responsibility for testing Workday HCM modules and integrations across key go-live milestones. This role focuses on validating end-to-end business processes, data accuracy, and system readiness using standard Workday connectors and native integration tools, with select data integrations.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, phased implementation environment. You will collaborate closely with functional teams, integration and data partners, implementation vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases, support UAT cycles, and deliver reliable Workday solutions.
Location: Remote (US-based candidates only).
Employment Type/Duration: Contractor. 6-12 months with the possibility of extensions.
Compensation: $50 - $65/hr. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and overall qualifications.
Requirements: Must be authorized to work legally in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support QA efforts across two implementation waves, including LMS, Employee Voice (Peakon), Advanced Compensation, People Analytics, Succession Planning, and Talent Reviews.
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and regression suites for Workday modules and integrations.
- Validate inbound and outbound integrations, primarily through standard Workday connectors, as well as select integrations leveraging Informatica for Snowflake-based data flows.
- Perform end-to-end integration testing, including:
- Data mapping and transformation validation
- Error handling and reconciliation
- Payload, report, and downstream data accuracy checks
- Test integrations built using native Workday tools (Workday Studio, EIB, PECI/PICOF, and Core Connectors).
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution in close coordination with functional and technical teams.
- Partner with implementation teams, data/integration teams, and business stakeholders to ensure complete test coverage across all go-live milestones.
- Support UAT cycles, including defect triage, retesting, and preparation of sign-off documentation ahead of each wave deployment.

- Experience validating data flows involving external platforms (e.g., Snowflake), including file-based or ETL-supported integrations.
