About the role

TL;DR

Lead global, enterprise HCM product strategy and delivery across the employee lifecycle, working with HRIS, technology, data, engineering, and business leaders. You will own roadmaps, data lineage, business cases, vendor oversight, governance, and delivery for large-scale HCM and data products. The role requires 7+ years in product management, strong data architecture and SQL skills, and familiarity with Snowflake and Oracle HCM Cloud.

Our dynamic HCM Strategy team is seeking an experienced Vice President to drive global, large-scale transformational initiatives. You will be instrumental in leveraging cutting-edge applications and AI to enhance employee experience, deliver quantifiable automation benefits, and build resilient HCM solutions across our firm.

As a Vice President, you will lead strategy, design and delivery of enterprise-wide HCM platforms and solutions critical projects from initiation to completion. You will apply exceptional organizational skills, strategic foresight, and impeccable implementation abilities. A strong focus on integrating systems across the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment to retirement – will be essential. You will collaborate with HCM, technology, and business leaders to define roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and implement scalable solutions aligned with organizational goals.

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a fast-paced, complex environment, evidenced by a proven track record of successful product management delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate and lead the HCM product vision and strategic roadmap, aligning with HCM and business objectives.

  • Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise-wide HCM systems and tools, from conception to successful implementation.

  • Lead and empower cross-functional teams to deliver complex HCM solutions, ensuring strategic alignment and successful outcomes.

  • Develop robust business cases for new products and enhancements, including financial justification (ROI) and key performance indicators.

  • Champion a data-driven approach by overseeing user research, stakeholder interviews, and continuous product feedback loops to inform decisions.

  • Ownership and ongoing maintenance of end-to-end data lineage for data products

  • Foster strong partnerships with Data, Engineering, PMO, and HRIS teams to ensure seamless execution and integration.

  • Continuously analyze emerging HCM technology trends and drive innovation into the HCM product strategy and roadmap.

  • Uphold and ensure adherence to governance, data privacy, and regulatory compliance standards across all HCM products.

  • Strategically manage vendor relationships, encompassing platform evaluation, selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance oversight.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Product Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.

  • Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in product management, leading the strategy, development, and launch of complex, large-scale database and data-intensive products, preferably within the financial services industry or a similarly regulated, fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated expertise in the full product lifecycle management of data architecture projects from conceptual design and strategic planning to successful launch and sustained adoption.

  • Strong foundational knowledge of data architecture concepts, including data structures, relational and non-relational data stores, data modeling, data warehousing architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, and business objects/semantic layers.

  • Working proficiency with SQL and familiarity with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, including an understanding of schemas, data sharing, security, performance optimization, and data governance principles.

  • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI) and an understanding of how data products serve downstream analytics and business intelligence consumers.

  • Proven ability to strategically prioritize, define, and manage a diverse data product roadmap, consistently delivering high-value features and solutions that meet market needs and exceed stakeholder expectations.

  • Exceptional organizational acumen and advanced time management capabilities, adept at navigating complex data platform interdependencies and driving efficient execution across global, cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency with enterprise-grade product management platforms (e.g., Jira), analytics tools, and collaboration software.

  • Superior executive-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data architecture concepts into business value, influence diverse stakeholders, and present effectively to senior leadership.

  • Highly analytical with advanced strategic problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, capable of identifying root causes, anticipating challenges, and developing innovative, data driven solutions.

  • Proven ability to thrive both independently and as a collaborative leader within a matrixed organizational structure, fostering teamwork and accountability.

  • Agile Product Owner/Scrum Master, or other relevant product management certifications are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise HCM systems including Oracle HCM Cloud.

  • Hands-on or working knowledge of Snowflake architecture, including data lakes, data mesh concepts, and cloud-native data platform design.

  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality frameworks, security tools and practices.

  • Understanding of data security, privacy regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to financial services.

  • Exposure to data cataloging and lineage tools and techniques
