Senior Workday Integration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Workday Integration Engineer to manage business requirements for integrations with Workday and other HR-related systems. The role involves driving IT and business teams to review and approve functional specifications, data analysis, and data mappings. You will manage the requirements change process throughout the project lifecycle and lead the documentation of business process flows supported by the defined business requirements. Additionally, you will actively participate in the testing phase, identifying test scenarios, documenting test cases, and serving as a subject matter expert (SME) during testing to determine if reported issues are defects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage business requirements for integrations with Workday and HR systems.
  • Drive review and approval of functional specifications and data mappings.
  • Oversee the requirements change process throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Document business process flows supported by defined business requirements.
  • Participate in the testing phase, identifying test scenarios and documenting test cases.
  • Serve as a triage point of contact during testing, acting as SME for defect validation.

Skills Required

  • 3+ years of experience with Workday Core HCM and integrations.
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
  • Advanced BA skills with integration and conversion experience, including requirements gathering, functional design, data analysis, data mappings, data validations, and testing.
  • Strong ability to interact with technical, functional, and business teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR/Compensation business processes.
  • Experience in creating process and data flow diagrams.
  • Experience in creating test scenarios and test cases.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and graphs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IIBA or PMI Certified Business Analyst certification.
  • Functional/technical experience with Workday Recruiting.
  • Experience with payroll systems and integrations with vendors like ADP.
  • Familiarity with test management tools such as Zephyr or Practitest.
  • Experience in designing custom IT solutions.
  • Experience with global deployments.
