Senior Workday Integration Engineer

About the role
Remote, full-time role for a senior Workday integration engineer with 5+ years of enterprise integration experience, including 3+ years with Workday. You will build and support EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services, and Workday Studio integrations across HR, Payroll, Finance, Benefits, and Identity, including production monitoring, troubleshooting, security, and release testing. The base salary is $140,000 to $160,000 annually, plus bonus and/or commissions.
The Senior Workday Integration Engineer is responsible for the design, development, support, and optimization of integrations between Workday and enterprise systems across HR, Payroll, Finance, Benefits, Identity, and other business functions.
This hands-on role supports integrations throughout their lifecycle, including technical design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, security, and documentation. The position partners across business and technology teams to ensure Workday integrations are reliable, secure, scalable, and maintainable.

The expected base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 annually.
Responsibilities
Integration Development & Support
- Design, build, enhance, and support Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services, Workday Studio, and related technologies.
- Support the integration lifecycle from requirements and technical design through development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Monitor production integrations, troubleshoot failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable resolutions.
- Develop and maintain integrations with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Identity, workforce management, and other internal and third-party platforms.
- Support Workday releases and production changes through impact analysis, regression testing, and remediation.
Integration Standards & Controls
- Apply standards for integration design, security, error handling, monitoring, documentation, and support.
- Manage integration security, including integration system users, authentication, API access, certificates, and encryption in partnership with appropriate security teams.
- Maintain technical documentation, including integration specifications, data flows, dependencies, ownership, and support procedures.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve integration reliability, performance, monitoring, and maintainability.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex Workday integration issues.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise integration development and support experience, including 3+ years of substantive Workday integration experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services, XML/XSLT, APIs, and related integration technologies.
- Experience supporting or developing Workday Studio integrations.
- Strong understanding of Workday integration security, authentication, and data security concepts.
- Experience designing, testing, deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting integrations in a production environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating Workday with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Identity, or workforce management platforms.
- Experience with SFTP, middleware, OAuth, certificates, encryption, and cloud integration technologies.
- Experience supporting Workday in a regulated or SOX-controlled environment.
