Workday System Analyst

About the role
This is an onsite Denver role with less than 10% travel and a $95,000 to $125,000 salary range. You’ll configure and support Workday across Core HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Reporting, Security, and Benefits, while building reports, troubleshooting integrations, and supporting releases. The role partners with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT and includes production support, governance, SOX controls, and audit documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday business processes, modules, workflows, condition rules, validations, and notifications
Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, Accounting, IT, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions.
Support Workday production operations by researching system issues, performing root-cause analysis, coordinating resolution, and maintaining reliable system performance.
Develop, test, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, data audits, and scheduled reporting to support HR data accuracy and business decision-making.
Assist with Workday integrations, including EIB loads, integration monitoring, error resolution, vendor coordination, and connectivity with internal systems.
Participate in Workday release management and enhancement projects, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, documentation, deployment, and post-launch support.
Support Workday security administration, governance, and compliance activities, including access troubleshooting, security reviews, SOX controls, SDLC adherence, and audit documentation.
Create and maintain system documentation, test plans, job aids, and user guidance to strengthen adoption, consistency, and ongoing process improvement.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with HRIS platforms; Workday experience required.
Foundational knowledge of Workday modules, including: Core HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Reporting, Security and Benefits
Understanding of Workday release management processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across HR, IT, and other business teams.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to system accuracy and optimization.
Experience building Workday reports using calculated fields.
Experience with Workday Studio and Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB).
Ability to troubleshoot integrations between Workday and other internal systems.
Familiarity with system configuration and SDLC processes.
Experience supporting Workday governance frameworks.
Experience working with Workday Success Plans.
