About the role

TL;DR

Hybrid role supporting HR data integration and migration across SuccessFactors and SAP HCM. You’ll configure BIB artifacts, run data and integration tests, monitor replication jobs and Integration Suite/CPI flows, and help with SuccessFactors imports and basic API checks under lead guidance. The role suits someone with initial SAP HCM and BIB or migration exposure, business-fluent English at B2 level, and a structured approach to testing and documentation; German is a plus.

As an HXM Data Integration Consultant (SF & SAP HCM), you will play a key role in supporting HR data integration and migration activities within a hybrid system landscape. Working under the guidance of the lead, you will contribute to the successful execution of integration processes, ensuring data consistency and reliability across platforms. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on system configuration, testing, data quality assurance, and ongoing operational support.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Support data migration execution: data extraction support, cleansing, mapping support, validation, and basic reconciliation.
  • Configure and maintain BIB artifacts following defined design (infotype group setup, mappings, transformations, validations).
  • Execute integration and data tests, collect evidence, and track/triage issues with clear documentation.
  • Monitor replication jobs and integration flows; provide first-level troubleshooting (log review, basic checks) and escalate with the right context.
  • Support Integration Suite/CPI operational tasks (deployments, health checks, basic configuration updates under guidance).
  • Run and monitor SuccessFactors Integration Center jobs (where used) and support basic troubleshooting.
  • Support SuccessFactors data import activities (mass imports) and basic OData/API validation steps where required.
  • Assist with data quality checks using basic profiling/validation tools or simple scripts (as provided by the team).
  • Collaborate with HR domain experts and functional consultants to confirm data requirements and business rules.
  • Maintain documentation (configuration notes, test results, runbooks) to enable repeatability and smooth handover.

Qualifications

Must-have requirements:

  • Basic technical understanding of SuccessFactors (ideally EC) and HR data concepts (employee lifecycle, org structures).
  • Initial exposure to SAP HCM data structures (PA/OM/PT/PY) and hybrid integration concepts.
  • Some experience with BIB and/or data migration activities (project work, support, or training).
  • Familiarity with SF integration options (Integration Center, APIs) at user/operator level.
  • Awareness of authentication concepts (OAuth/SAML) and willingness to learn trust/security setup.
  • ABAP is not required; ability to read/debug basics or run supporting reports is a plus.
  • Clear communication, structured way of working, and comfort with checklists/testing.
  • Business fluent English skills (at least level B2), German skills would be a plus.
