Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Principal IT Business Applications for our office in Sylmar, CA.

Description

As a Principal IT Business Applications at Tutor Perini Corporation, reporting to the Director of IT Business Applications, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead solution architecture for Workday and/or other Business Applications, designing scalable, secure, and integrated solutions across HCM, Finance, and related platforms.
  • Own and drive the Workday program roadmap, aligning initiatives with business strategy and ensuring successful delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • Establish and govern program management practices, including planning, risk management, stakeholder communication, and executive reporting.
  • Collaborate with HRIS, HR, Finance, and IT leadership to translate business needs into optimized system solutions and process improvements.
  • Oversee Workday integrations and data architecture, ensuring seamless connectivity with enterprise systems and high data quality standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and vendors, driving best practices in solution delivery, release management, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide customer service and solutions on internal technology projects.
  • Document current state, partner with business to determine future state process, and prepare a plan for implementation of approved solution.

Requirements

  • Over 12 years of experience in supporting Enterprise Applications, including significant expertise in Workday environments (HCM, Benefits, Integrations).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and integration patterns (APIs, middleware, data flows).
  • Proven experience managing large-scale programs using structured methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid), including governance, risk management, and executive reporting.
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable solution architectures and aligned technology roadmaps.
  • Experience partnering with business and IT stakeholders to optimize processes and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams and vendors, including mentoring and driving delivery best practices.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience overseeing Workday integrations and ensuring data integrity, compliance, and system performance.
  • Track record of driving continuous improvement, process optimization, and operational efficiency within enterprise systems.
  • Experience developing user documentation, training materials, and enabling end-user adoption.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset and attention to compliance and governance.
