HRIS Lead - Workday Payroll Expert

Lead Workday Payroll across a multinational environment supporting US, UK, and international operations. You’ll own configuration, integrations, testing, release management, security, reporting, and vendor interfaces, while leading cross-functional projects and shaping the payroll technology roadmap. Requires 5+ years of hands-on Workday Payroll experience; Workday Payroll certification and broader HCM experience are preferred.

We're seeking an experienced HRIS Payroll Lead with deep expertise in Workday Payroll to lead the evolution of our global payroll technology ecosystem. This is not a support role. This is an opportunity to serve as the strategic and technical leader for Workday Payroll, driving innovation, optimization, and transformation across a complex multinational environment.

As the Workday Payroll Lead, you will:

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Workday Payroll and related payroll technologies.

  • Lead payroll configuration, enhancements, integrations, testing, and release management activities.

  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to design scalable solutions and improve payroll processes.

  • Support payroll operations across the US and UK while enabling integrations with global third-party payroll providers.

  • Lead requirements gathering, solution design, backlog prioritization, and Agile delivery activities.

  • Ensure data integrity, compliance, security, reporting accuracy, and system performance.

  • Mentor team members and provide technical leadership for complex projects and enterprise initiatives.

  • Influence the future roadmap of HR and payroll technology at World Kinect.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday Payroll experience

  • Strong expertise in:

    • Workday Payroll

    • Payroll integrations

    • Business process configuration

    • Security administration

    • Reporting & analytics

    • Testing & release management

    • Vendor management and third-party payroll interfaces

  • Experience supporting payroll in a multinational environment

  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders at multiple levels

  • Strong consultative, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

  • Workday Payroll Certification

  • Experience with Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, and Workday Integrations

  • Agile or Scrum experience

  • Experience supporting global payroll transformation programs
